Train of Events now available!

Bill Dawson's exciting crime thriller 'Train of Events' is now available from all good bookshops and directly from the Publisher,

Austin Macauley of London.

‘Train of Events’ is a fast-moving crime thriller.

A London gang of criminals perfect an audacious train robbery, netting £2 million in used banknotes destined for incineration.

The pickup, near Newcastle, goes horribly wrong and the bags of money go missing.

The pickup crew are apprehended on their way back to London, empty-handed.  One of the 2 criminals dies; the other is arrested for a murder committed near Newcastle, which delayed their arrival at the pickup point.

The Mob sends one of their gangsters up to Newcastle to find the money.

Scotland Yard send up one of their detectives.

The local police are also involved, as is the local newspaper.

Much more goes wrong before the end.

ABOUT ME

2205 Selfie for blog 0006 small.jpg

I’m Andy Dawson.

I’m a photographer and writer and I live in Inverness, Northern Scotland.

Bill Dawson was my Dad.  He was a journalist all his life, having started reporting at the age of 16.  He wrote several books, one of which is being published this year.  He also wrote a book of anecdotes.  Those are the stories in this blog.

They talk about his experiences as a reporter, motor cycle racer and newspaper management entrepreneur.  They are all funny and they all show his irrepressibly positive personality.  All of the stories show a life gone by and many show an insight to personal problems.

Please read these stories and let me know what you think about them.

In these stories, Dad refers to himself as ‘My friend Harry’.  This is a writer's conceit, which allows him to refer to himself in the 3rd person. He explains why he calls himself Harry in the Introduction – so read that first!

This is Bill's book of anecdotes.

The post called 'Introduction' explains why Bill refers to himself as 'My Friend Harry', so it might be best to read that first.

I will be adding 1 story a week to keep things moving.
